Air defense systems destroyed 48 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the regions of the Russian Federation last night

The Air Defense Forces destroyed 48 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the regions of the Russian Federation over the past night. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday, May 29.

"In the period from 20:00 Moscow time on May 28, 48 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of an airplane type were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the defense ministry said in a Telegram statement.

At the same time, 30 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were shot down over the territory of the Belgorod region, four each over the Orel and Ryazan regions and the territory of the Republic of Crimea, three drones were destroyed over the Moscow region, two UAVs over the Bryansk region and one drone was intercepted over the Tambov region.

The day before, on May 28, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the air defense forces destroyed 296 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the Russian regions overnight.
