The family of Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, who headed the Russian delegation in Istanbul on May 16, received threats from Ukrainian Nazis. This was announced on Wednesday, May 28, by journalist, radio and TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov.

"The fact is that in the last few days, Vladimir Rostislavovich's family <...> has been receiving threats of a very specific content," he said on the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program.

As the journalist pointed out, even the children of the Medinsky family receive reports of threats.

"We know where your children are, and we have a lot of scooters stuffed," Solovyov shared the content of the threats, adding that this is how the Ukrainian Nazis hint at the crimes they have already committed.

According to the TV presenter, the head of the Ukrainian delegation, the country's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, when asked by Medinsky, suggested that the threats were coming from the Ukrainian Nazis.

"These are most likely our Nazis, we have no influence on them," Solovyov quoted Umerov as saying.

In this regard, the journalist wondered who to negotiate with if the government of Ukraine is not controlled by their power blocs and groups.

Earlier that day, the Russian presidential aide called the Ukrainian Defense minister and suggested a date and place to exchange memoranda on conditions for the cessation of hostilities.

On May 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the composition of experts for negotiations with Ukraine and appointed Medinsky as the head of the delegation. Negotiations between the delegations of the Russian Federation and Ukraine took place at the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul on May 16.
