An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 occurred in Kamchatka


An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 was recorded off the coast of Kamchatka. This was announced on Wednesday, May 28, by the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences (USGS RAS).
It is noted that the tremors were recorded at 21:46 Moscow time, 122 km from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
"The data will be updated," the Kamchatka branch of the USGS RAS added in its Telegram.
Earlier, on May 25, an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 occurred in the Kosh-Achagsky district of the Altai Republic. An earthquake was recorded at 5:35 a.m. Moscow time, 12 km southeast of the village of Kyzyl-Tash. The seismic event was located at a depth of 10 km.
