Yuri Varakin, head of the Roshydromet Situation center, said that the heat wave in Moscow will subside on Friday, May 30.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Wednesday, May 28, the specialist noted that the days will be very warm until Saturday. Meanwhile, he warned that the beginning of June would not please residents of the capital with such abnormally high temperatures.

"Now the weather is more consistent with the end of June and the beginning of July. It will be +27...+30 degrees in the center of Moscow," Varakin said.

According to him, an atmospheric front will approach on the night of May 31, which will bring light rains.

The meteorologist added that on June 1 and 2, temperatures are forecast to be higher than normal, but only by 4-5 degrees, and not by 7, as it is now. In the center of Moscow, the thermometer will show +23...+25 degrees.

Earlier on May 28, the Ministry of Emergency Situations called on residents of the capital to be more attentive on the streets due to strong winds in the coming days. In the period from May 29 to May 30, the wind is expected to increase with gusts up to 17 m/s, the Moscow City News agency reports.

On May 26, Alexander Ilyin, a forecaster at the Meteo forecasting center, warned that this working week in Moscow and the Moscow region would become as hot as last weekend. The air will warm up to almost +30 degrees, the website writes kp.ru .

On the same day, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia that short-term rains were expected in Moscow on May 29. An area of low atmospheric pressure will enter the region from Thursday.

At the same time, Pozdnyakova, in an interview with RT, noted that it is not recommended to stay in the bright sun for a long time between 11:00 and 16:00.

Also on May 26, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, explained that the arrival of heat in the capital was due to the action of an anticyclone that brought warm air to the region. Vilfand clarified that the heat is felt less outside the city. It's safer in the woods and by the water, he writes Pravda.Ru .
