Details of alcohol purchase by teenagers from Baikalsk became known

Alcohol for teenagers in Baikalsk, Irkutsk region, where five people died and four minors were injured at a birthday party, was purchased by an 18-year-old young man. This was announced on May 28 by the governor of the region Igor Kobzev.

According to him, two main factors led to the incident: the lack of adult control over children who are away from their parents, and the easy access of teenagers to alcoholic beverages.

"Psychologists and a psychotherapist from the Irkutsk Regional Neuropsychiatric dispensary are working with the parents and relatives of the dead and injured children who are in shock," Kobzev wrote on his Telegram channel.

The governor also added that the children who attended the celebration will be offered the opportunity to go to health camps for free, which will depend on the state of health, the recommendations of doctors and the wishes of the teenagers themselves.
