The expert spoke about the advantages of fixed income deposits

Savings accounts, against the background of the expected reduction in rates, will look less attractive to consumers, and therefore a deposit will be a more competent investment in such a situation. This was announced on May 28 by a financial consultant, an expert of the NIFI project of the Ministry of Finance of Russia "My Finances.Russian Federation" Alexey Rodin.
As the expert noted, the rates on savings accounts are always lower than on deposits, and they decrease faster.
"If you want to maintain profitability, it's better to transfer money to a fixed-income deposit, while there are still offers for six months or a year in the range of 15-20%," the Prime agency quotes Rodin.
The expert also added that financial resources can be directed to the bond market. The level of their profitability is not inferior to deposits. Moreover, the bonds can be sold at any time without losing any profit. It is more profitable to buy long government bonds, which will become more expensive as the key interest rate decreases.
You can also purchase shares of money market exchange-traded funds. They are reliable and liquid, Rodin said, and their profitability accumulates every day without getting lost when funds are withdrawn.
Earlier, on May 6, Georgy Ostapkovich, director of the HSE Center for Economic Research and Economic Analysis, noted in an interview with Izvestia that the decrease in deposit rates was due to the expected reduction in the key rate of the Central Bank of Russia (CBR). In the third decade of April, the average maximum interest rate on deposits in the ten largest banks decreased by 0.25 percentage points, reaching 19.79% per annum, the regulator said.
