In Yakutia, the former director of veterinary medicine was accused of paying a bribe of 113 thousand rubles.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has sent to the court an indictment in a criminal case against the former director of the Yakut Republican Veterinary Testing Laboratory on the fact of paying a significant bribe. This was announced on May 28 by the regional prosecutor's office in its Telegram channel.

According to investigators, the head of the veterinary department of the republic demanded a bribe of 113 thousand rubles from the accused. It has become a prerequisite for a favorable collaboration.

"In turn, the head of the veterinary department provided a subordinate with general patronage in the service, creating favorable working conditions, as well as connivance," the local prosecutor's office noted.

The defendant admitted his guilt. The preliminary investigation into the official accused of accepting a bribe is ongoing.

Earlier, on May 27, in Krasnoyarsk, a former policeman was imprisoned for bribing 400 thousand rubles. In the period from August 2018 to May 2023, a former police officer received bribes from a businessman specializing in urban passenger transportation for condescending attitude during inspections.
