In hot summer weather, plants need more moisture, and the main sign of poor health in plants is wilting. Mikhail Vorobyov, an agronomist and biologist, told about this on Tuesday, May 27.

"If the ground is dry, it is necessary to water it, if the ground is wet, then spray the leaves. If you are planting plants in the open ground, then you need to cover them with an openwork shade, for example, with other leaves or twigs. Then the plant will adapt in the open ground and take root normally, it will grow even in such hot weather," the expert explained in an interview with Radio 1.

According to Vorobyov, you need to check the soil moisture with your finger, because at high temperatures plants need more water and freshness than usual.

"Even if you grow plants in the room, there may also be problems. The leaves touching the window glass do not evaporate moisture and heat up more than usual, there may be burns. Therefore, it is better to move indoor plants deeper into the house during the heat period," concluded the agronomist.

The hot weather in the Moscow region led to the appearance of poplar fluff in the region in May. Mosoblpozhspas specialists recalled that it often causes fires, according to 360.ru .

Earlier, on May 26, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia that hot weather with temperatures exceeding the climatic norm was expected for the week of May 26. She added that rains will arrive in the capital region by the end of this week.
