At least 11 people, including two children, were injured in a boat explosion in the US state of Florida. This was announced on May 27 by NBC.

"For reasons that we do not yet know, the boat exploded, after which people fell into the water, eyewitnesses immediately swam up and began to rescue them," Frank Guzman, a representative of the Fort Lauderdale Fire Department, is quoted in the publication.

It is specified that the explosion occurred near the Lauderdale Yacht Club. Some of the victims suffered serious burns and were hospitalized.
