The Leningrad region resumed the production of components for the ex-Hyundai plant

The production of automotive components for the former Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg has resumed in the Leningrad Region. The parts in Ivangorod are manufactured by the Yura Corporation Rus company. This was stated by Dmitry Yalov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Leningrad Region for Economics.

Yura is currently working for the AGR Automotive Group (AGR Automobile Plant). 182 people work full-time. At least the plant is alive and working," Yalova was quoted as saying by TASS on May 26.

Yura Corporation Rus is a branch of the South Korean company Yura Corp., which supplied components for the Hyundai automobile plant in St. Petersburg. Since 2008, the Ivangorod plant has been producing electrical wiring for cars. The company suspended operations in March 2022.

The former plant of the South Korean Hyundai concern in St. Petersburg, acquired by the Russian company Art Finance, was named the AGR Automobile Plant in early 2024. Solaris brand cars are renamed Hyundai and Kia and are produced in full cycle mode. The model range includes HC crossovers (Hyundai Creta), KRS sedan (Kia Rio), KRX cross hatchback (Kia Rio X) and HS sedan (Hyundai Solaris)
