The military of the Russian Armed Forces liberated Belovody and Vladimirovka in Sumy region

Servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation liberated Belovody and Vladimirovka in the Sumy region. This was announced on May 26 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"As a result of active and decisive actions, units of the North group of forces liberated the settlements of Vladimirovka and Belovody in the Sumy region," the ministry said in a statement.

It is specified that the Russian army hit the manpower and military equipment of the airborne assault, two mechanized brigades and the air defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of five settlements in the Sumy region.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian army lost up to 275 militants, as well as four armored fighting vehicles, nine vehicles, four field artillery guns, an electronic warfare (EW) station and a counter-battery radar station.

In addition, fighters of the Russian Armed Forces used operational and tactical aircraft, attack drones, rocket troops and artillery to hit military airfield infrastructure facilities, ammunition depots, drone storage sites and temporary deployment points of Ukrainian army units and mercenaries in 152 districts.

After capturing the village, Russian units repulsed four enemy counterattacks.

The day before, units of the Southern Group of Troops of the Russian Armed Forces liberated the village of Romanovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). It was clarified that Russian military personnel defeated the manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces brigades in the areas of six settlements of the DPR. During the fighting, the enemy lost up to 260 fighters.
