A Russian soldier who spent 500 days in Ukrainian captivity admitted that his emotions after returning to Russia are best reflected in poetry. He told Izvestia about this on May 25.

According to him, the lines of the poem he read reflect emotions after he had been in captivity for 500 days. When asked about the conditions he was in, the soldier noted that they were "decent, like in captivity."

The fighter, who had been in Ukrainian captivity for two years, said that he was periodically beaten there. There was no treatment before the appearance of the Red Cross. However, even after that, the fighters were not always provided with medical care.

"Well, I'll tell you that these are not people or even fascists, they are just maniacs," said one of the soldiers.

On the same day, it was reported that the plane carrying the servicemen who returned from captivity landed in the Moscow region as part of the Russian-Ukrainian agreements.
