The Russian Ministry of Defense spoke about the exploits of the Russian Armed Forces in the special operation zone.

On May 25, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of a special military operation (SVO).

So, the department noted the actions of senior Lieutenant Artem Malygin. The group under his command came under artillery fire from the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), carrying out a combat mission to consolidate the newly liberated positions. Malygin quickly got his bearings in the current situation, identified the hiding places and gave instructions to his subordinates to disperse.

As a result of the attack, one of his comrades was wounded by shrapnel. Under the incessant artillery fire of the enemy, Malygin, risking his own life, reached the wounded man and, using the skills of tactical medicine, provided him with the necessary assistance. He then dragged the victim to a safe place, where he handed him over to the evacuation team. After the shelling ended, Malygin led the group to the designated point and organized the defense of the occupied positions. Thanks to his courage and competent actions, the Russian military managed to gain a foothold in new positions.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation drew attention to the actions of the guard of junior Sergeant Alexander Korepanov, who performed the task of scouting the area for the safe movement of Russian units. He noticed suspicious objects, which he identified as disguised improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Korepanov decided to destroy them on the spot, without attracting additional forces to promptly continue the task.

Having taken a safe position, he hit the devices with accurate fire from his personal small arms, which immediately detonated. Thanks to his courageous and professional actions, the Russian units safely occupied their assigned positions, which led to the successful completion of combat missions.

On May 24, the Ministry of Defense reported that the operators of the FPV drones of the Vostok group of forces inflicted pinpoint fire damage on the AFU control and communications facilities in the Yuzhnodonetsky direction, near the village of Otradnoye.
