A man killed his ex-wife and injured his son on his birthday in Kazan

Investigators have opened a criminal case into the murder of a woman in Kazan. The suspect in the crime also injured his son on his birthday. This was announced on May 24 by the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan.

"It has been preliminarily established that on May 24, 2025, a citizen of a foreign country, on the basis of personal hostility, inflicted <...>..> fatal stab wounds," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to a neighbor, the suspect broke into his ex-wife's apartment and stabbed her in the throat. He committed this crime despite the fact that there was a three-year-old child there. Subsequently, the man was found in the apartment he rented.

"The girl was killed in the afternoon. It was the child's birthday. And they arrived. The key was in the apartment. We went in and found her, and the boy was taken away by ambulance. He has minor injuries," the neighbor said.

At the moment, the necessary investigative measures are being carried out to clarify all the circumstances.
