The Russian Armed Forces soldiers released from captivity shared their emotions after the exchange

The servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces released from Ukrainian captivity on May 24 spoke about their emotions after the exchange.

"This is probably one of the best days of the last year. I thank the Russian Federation for taking care. Great exchange, very good. A lot of people will go home to their families and their loved ones," one of the men shared.

Another soldier also said that the fighters were provided with everything they needed, including food, medical services, as well as psychological help and clothing.

At the first stage, 390 military personnel and civilians each return to Russia and Ukraine.

Earlier that day, it became known that 307 Russian servicemen had been returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime as part of the Russian-Ukrainian agreements. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense reported that the large-scale exchange will continue.

The Russian Federation and Ukraine agreed on a large-scale exchange of prisoners of war according to the "1000 for 1000" formula at talks in Istanbul on May 16.
