Two people died as a result of a collision between a boat and a speedboat on the Amur River in the Khabarovsk Territory. This was reported on May 24 in the press service of the Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor's Office.
"Two small vessels Amur–M and Barracuda–55 collided. Two people died as a result of the incident," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.
It is noted that the accident happened on the evening of May 23 on the Amur River near the village of Achan in the Amur region.
The situation is under the control of the Komsomol Transport Prosecutor's Office. A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of water transport, which negligently resulted in the death of two persons").
On May 11, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Primorsky Territory reported the death of one person as a result of a boat capsizing near Shchitovaya Bay in Vladivostok. Later, as the department added, they received another message about an overturned boat in the area of the bay "Three piglets". Rescuers found three men in the water, all of them were brought ashore in satisfactory condition.
