The Interior Ministry proposed to introduce a total ban on loans to protect against fraud

A total ban on loans in order to protect against fraudsters is planned to be introduced for Russians. This was announced on May 23 by Danil Filippov, Deputy Head of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"We are proposing and trying to introduce this for discussion, which means that it is not a self—lock, but a total ban and, so to speak, individual unblocking," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Filippov clarified that this innovation will "protect everyone." In addition, every citizen who wants to take out a loan will be advised and asked certain questions. This way, experts will be able to make sure that financial resources will not be transferred to fraudsters.

On May 14, lawyer Anton Uskov reported on how to protect himself from intruders. According to him, fraudsters can apply for a loan for a victim if they have a scan of a citizen's passport and SNILS. The expert clarified that the documents for applying for a loan may end up in the hands of fraudsters in case of loss, as well as if a person transferred their data to third parties via the Internet or by phone.
