A Russian man who stole his daughter was caught on camera a few days before his arrest

A man who abducted his daughter from his ex-wife during a divorce and hid for five years was captured on cameras a few days before his arrest. The video appeared on May 23 at the disposal of Izvestia.

According to the source, the man was spotted on May 14 in Novorossiysk in the company of an unknown woman. Three days later, he left by car for Belarus with his daughter and tried to fly to the UAE using fake passports, but was detained at the border.

On the same day, it was reported that a man who disappeared with a child after a divorce hearing in September 2020 was detained at the Minsk airport. For a long time it was not known about the fate of the girl. In 2021, a man was deprived of parental rights and a case was opened for the murder of a minor. In April 2025, he was put on the international wanted list.

Currently, the child's mother has flown to St. Petersburg with her daughter from Minsk.
