A long time ago, the Robber Nightingale managed to defeat Ilya Muromets by cunning. He rewrote history, appropriating all the exploits and glory of the hero. Thanks to the elixir of immortality, the Nightingale has survived to this day. Now he wants to resurrect the dark god Veles, to whom he sold his soul back then. Nowadays, Professor Kiselyov manages to find Muromets in the ice of an underwater cave, where the last battle between the hero and the robber took place, and bring him back to our world.

"Hansel and Gretel: The Sleeping Beauty Mission, 6+

The script is based on the plot of the classic fairy tale "Sleeping Beauty". The authors of the film have reworked the traditional story, giving it a detective flavor, and generously supplemented it with numerous references to plots and characters from popular European, Arabic and Russian fairy tales, myths and literary works. The cartoon mentions Karabas-Barabas, Ali Baba, Puss in Boots, Little Red Riding Hood.

When only a miracle can save the kingdom, the Department of Magical Security takes over. The best super agent Gretel and her dodger brother Hansel must find out who benefited from plunging the princess into an enchanted sleep. Together with an unexpected partner, the noble Prince Ragnar, they will have to turn the whole magical world upside down — from Ali Baba's cave and Dracula's castle to the lair of evil witches and the North Pole. There are many mysteries and insidious enemies waiting for them on the way, because this is a special task of increased fabulousness. But for Hansel and Gretel, any mission is doable.

The titular painting by Jonathan Glazer. At the Cannes Film Festival in 2023, she won the Grand Prix and the FIPRESCI Prize (an international organization that unites film critics and film critics). In addition, two Oscars in 2024: for "Best Sound" and in the nomination "Best Foreign Language Film". Glazer worked on the "Zone of Interests" for 10 years. The literary basis of the script was the novel of the same name by the English writer Martin Amis.

The film tells about how well-being is juxtaposed with torture and violence. Behind the high fence of the Auschwitz concentration camp with towers and machine guns is the house of its commandant Hess. While Rudolf, the head of the family, goes to work, his wife Hedwig cultivates a luxurious garden and brings up five daughters. But just as the facade of an idyllic family retreat hides mutual resentments and disagreements, so the background of a leisurely narrative hides a poignant drama about the habit of evil.

Ruggero Leoncavallo's opera Pagliacci is one of the masterpieces of the world stage. Director Franco Zeffirelli became famous not only for his unique films, but also for his grandiose performances in the main theaters of Europe and the USA. He staged Pagliacci in 1982 at La Scala in Milan. And in 1985, he decided to film the play. The sets for the film were built in the cinema pavilion, and all the performers, as well as the orchestra and choir of the theater, took part in the filming. Zeffirelli preserved for posterity on the screen the great singers Placido Domingo, Teresa Stratas and Juan Pons, who performed the main roles.

The opera takes place in the south of Italy in Calabria in the 1860s. But Zeffirelli's production was moved to the period between the First and Second World Wars. The owner of the troupe of traveling comedians, Canio, warns his wife, Nedda, that if he finds her unfaithful, he will make her regret it bitterly. Nedda rejects the attentions of actor Tonio, and he decides to take revenge on her. He manages to overhear that Nedda and her lover Silvio are planning to elope together. Tonio makes sure that the jealous husband finds out about Nedda's plans. In a fit of jealousy during the performance, Canio kills her and Silvio.
