The Omani Foreign Minister announced the date of the start of the fifth round of negotiations between Iran and the United States.

The next round of negotiations between Iran and the United States on the nuclear dossier will be held in Rome. This was reported on May 21 by the ISNA news agency, citing Oman's Foreign Minister Badr al Busaidi.

"The fifth round of indirect talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States will be held on Friday, May 23 <...> in Rome," the newspaper writes.

On the eve of the Iranian Supreme leader Ali Khamenei noted that the Iranian-American negotiations on the nuclear program may not lead to a result.

The first round of negotiations took place on April 12 in Oman, the second on April 19 in Rome, and the third round again in Oman on April 26. The fourth round was also held in Oman on May 11.
