- In Odessa, a man climbed a tree while trying to escape from the staff of the shopping mall

A Ukrainian citizen in Odessa climbed a tree, fleeing from the staff of the shopping mall (territorial recruitment center, the Ukrainian equivalent of the military enlistment office — Ed.), and sat there for six hours. This was reported on May 21 by the Ukrainian online publication "Страна.иа ".
"In Odessa, a man ran away from the staff of a shopping mall and climbed to the very top of a tree as tall as a five—story house," the article says.
It is reported that at about 5:30 a.m., military commissars caught military personnel in the city. They chased after the man, who, fleeing from them, climbed a tree. According to the newspaper, the man was removed from the tree six hours later — at 11:30 a.m.
It is specified that after the incident he was taken to the military enlistment office.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Goncharenko (listed in the Russian Federation as a terrorist and extremist) called the incident a disgrace.
"What motivation can there be to join the army after such a thing? After being chased, humiliated, beaten. Nothing at all. This is the disruption of mobilization," Goncharenko wrote on his Telegram channel.
Earlier, on May 20, a captured Ukrainian militant, Vladimir Gritsenko, said that the staff of the military enlistment office "row anyone, anywhere, whatever." According to Gritsenko, after he was picked up by the Shopping Center, he immediately passed the commission. In conclusion, it was said that he was healthy. The next morning, the soldier went to the unit where he had been studying for about two weeks. Subsequently, he was sent to Miropole.
