Astana is still waiting for a response from Kiev regarding the attacks carried out this year on the infrastructure of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC). This was announced on May 21 by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Akan Rakhmetullin.

"We have conveyed our concerns to the Ukrainian side and are waiting. We remind them, of course, through the embassy. There has been no response yet," TASS quoted him as saying.

Rakhmetullin suggested that Kazakhstan is unlikely to receive a response from Kiev in the near future.

The attack by Ukrainian drones on the CPC infrastructure took place on February 17. It will be clarified that there were no casualties among the company's employees. The workers managed to prevent the threat of an oil spill.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on February 19 that a strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) would affect global energy markets. According to him, there are no Russian air defense systems at CPC facilities. As a result of the incident, Western equipment was damaged at the enterprise, which could not be quickly restored.

In addition, on March 24, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian air defense systems intercepted a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) 7 km from the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station.
