In Stavropol, an emergency mode was introduced after an explosion of household gas in an 18-storey apartment building. This was announced on May 21 by the head of the city Ivan Ulyanchenko.
"I held an extraordinary meeting of the operational headquarters. They decided to introduce an emergency regime in Stavropol after an explosion of household gas in an apartment building on Tukhachevsky Street," Ulyanchenko wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to him, the residents of the three entrances have been evacuated and, if necessary, will be resettled in hotels.
"We will restore the broken windows and doors within three days. We plan to restore the apartments that were completely damaged by the explosion within two weeks," Ulyanchenko added.
It is reported that all owners of the affected apartments and cars will receive financial assistance.
On May 21, a gas explosion occurred in an apartment building in Stavropol. According to the Izvestia source, it happened on the 18th floor. As a result of the incident, three people were injured.
The governor of the region, Vladimir Vladimirov, spoke about the elimination of the fire. He noted that specialists would subsequently inspect the building in order to plan restoration work.
