Tusk called the issue of sending troops to Ukraine closed for Poland

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Warsaw is not going to send troops to Ukraine, this issue is finally closed. He announced this on May 20 on the Polish TV channel TVP Info.
"We will not send Polish troops to Ukraine," he said, adding that Poland's main goal at the moment is to protect the state borders with Russia and Belarus.
Tusk answered affirmatively to the moderator's clarifying question about the finality of the announced decision, which, as the Polish Prime Minister added, is not subject to revision.
However, he added that the country of Poland faces the task of organizing a center for the transfer of weapons and other assistance to Ukraine.
The Polish candidate for the post of the new president from the opposition Law and Justice party, Karol Nawrocki, said on May 20 that he would not support Ukraine's accession to NATO. He also confirmed his readiness to sign, among other documents, a provision on the refusal to send Polish troops to Ukraine.
