Forecaster predicted a sharp warming in Moscow at the end of May

The first really hot days are expected in Moscow on May 30-31, when the thermometer may rise to +30 ...+31 degrees. Alexander Vasilyevich Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, forecaster, meteorologist, and climatologist, told Izvestia about this in an interview on May 20.

According to him, the last week of May will indeed be very warm, and the peak temperature values are likely to fall just on the 30-31 day. At the same time, the meteorologist noted that the heat may also seize the first days of June, but it is still difficult to make accurate forecasts — these processes are at the limit of predictability.

However, it is still unknown whether the hot weather in the capital will continue in the following days.

"That's the next question. We will be able to give a more accurate answer when the heat really comes," the forecaster explained.

Earlier, on May 18, it was reported that the meteorological summer would arrive in Moscow on time. Starting from May 27, daytime temperatures in the range of +23...+28 degrees are expected in Central Russia, while nighttime values will remain above +10. Moreover, calendar summer can start with temperatures up to +30 degrees.
