Iran has received a proposal regarding the time and place of a new, fifth round of negotiations with the United States dedicated to resolving the crisis over Iran's nuclear program. This was announced on May 20 by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic Kazem Gharibabadi.

"We have received a proposal for the next round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States, which is currently being considered," Gharibabadi said, quoted by local newspaper AkharinKhabar.

The deputy minister did not provide details of the proposal.

Earlier, on May 14, it was reported about the agreement between Iran and the United States related to the continuation of discussions on the nuclear issue. According to the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Esmail Bagai, Iran may show distrust and caution towards the United States due to inconsistencies between their words and actions.
