Candidates with an anti-Ukrainian position receive a large amount of support in the presidential elections in Poland, which raises concerns about the future relations between Warsaw and Kiev. This was announced on May 20 by Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Nikolay Knyazhitsky.

"The number of right-wingers is increasing, apparently due to support from Russia. This worries me," the Polish portal Polsatnews quotes him as saying.

According to the parliamentarian, the increased support of Polish parties seeking to normalize diplomatic relations with Russia may negatively affect relations with Ukraine.

Polling stations opened in Poland on May 18 to vote in the first round of the country's presidential election. The results of the IPSOS exit poll showed that the representative of the ruling Civic Coalition party, Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski and the candidate of the opposition Law and Justice (PiS) party Karol Nawrocki reached the second round in the presidential elections in Poland. Now they will have to take part in the second round, which is scheduled for June 1.
