A French politician has called for an investigation into Paris' interference in the Romanian elections

It is necessary to investigate the possible interference of France in the Romanian presidential election, which was pointed out by the founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov. This was announced on May 19 by the leader of the Patriots party, Florian Philippot, on his account on the social network X (former. Twitter).

"It is urgently necessary to create a commission to investigate the interference of the Macron government together with the EU in the Romanian presidential election. It's getting overwhelming," Philippot said.

Philippot added that the head of Macron's party list, Valerie Ayer, had called for "everything" to be done in the last European Parliament elections to ensure the victory of the pro-European candidate in Romania.
