Poland has confiscated tires for Boeing, which were shipped in transit through Russia. This was reported on May 19 by TVN24.

"Employees of the customs and tax service discovered contraband during a truck inspection in Koroszczyna (Lublin Voivodeship). The tires weighed 5 tons," the article says.

According to the declaration, tires for trucks and buses were supposed to be transported, but the driver had tires for American Boeing civil aircraft. It is specified that the tires were sent from Spain, they were supposed to be delivered to Azerbaijan via Belarus and Russia.

On May 15, the European Parliament's (EP) Committee on International Trade approved the proposal of the European Commission (EC) to impose duties on imports of all agricultural products from the Russian Federation. It is specified that this applies to goods that are still exempt from other customs duties. The goal of the EP was to reduce the dependence of the European Union on Russia and Belarus.
