Reaching a deal between Iran and the United States is possible, but on condition that Washington stops intimidating Tehran. This was stated on May 18 by Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian during a meeting with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman, Badr al-Busaidi. Pezeshkian's words were published on the website of the Iranian president's press service.

"The agreement with the United States (on the Iranian nuclear program. It is achievable, but this requires a fundamental condition — the American side must stop imposing its conditions, as well as intimidating Iran," Peseshkian said.

According to the Iranian leader, the country will not submit to force under any circumstances.

Earlier, on May 16, US President Donald Trump said that Washington had made it clear to Tehran that the country's nuclear weapons were unacceptable. The American leader noted that Tehran "will be very pleased" if it agrees to a deal with the United States.
