Russia will prepare a list of conditions for a ceasefire and hand it over to the Ukrainian side. This was announced on May 17 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"Indeed, we have agreed to exchange lists of conditions for a ceasefire. The work continues, it is underway," said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation at a briefing.

Peskov noted that work in this direction continues, and negotiations are conducted behind closed doors. He added that the Russian delegation would draw up a list of conditions taking into account the current situation.

Answering the question whether the document will be based on the Istanbul initiative of 2022, the Kremlin representative said that "it is not worth announcing it."

On May 16, the Russian and Ukrainian delegations at the talks agreed to present their vision of a cease-fire and to exchange prisoners of war in the 1,000-by-1,000 format.
