- Dresses, money, two barrels: banknotes were distributed at the premiere in Moscow, ovations in Cannes

The past week has been on the secular agenda for movie stars. After a two—week lull during the May holidays in Moscow, several high-profile premieres of the road movie "There" took place, before that presented as part of the MIFF competition, the concert film "Zhvanetsky", which gathered a strong star cast, the series with Maxim Matveev "Other People's Money". The XII Award ceremony of the Association of Film and Television Producers (APKiT) was held in a big way, meanwhile, some of the heroes of the local star chronicle were celebrated in Cannes. Izvestia — about social events and private events of the past week.
Kutsenko and Matveev got on the money
The social events were launched cheerfully last week: on Monday, May 12, several star premieres took place simultaneously in the capital. The Khudozhestvenny cinema became a portal to the world of underground crypto business for one evening. Photo zones in the form of an office with scattered bundles of cash, chocolate coins instead of the usual buffet snacks and invitations to the session in the form of bills with images of Maxim Matveev and Gosha Kutsenko were responsible for the atmosphere — all in the theme of the plot of the premiere series.
"Other People's Money" is a crime drama based on a script by Sergey Minaev and Dmitry Minaev. Provincial loser Yura Afanasyev unexpectedly finds himself in the world of big money and criminal machinations due to his striking external resemblance to the head of the cryptomafia Alexei Voronov. During a clash with the bad guys, he gets shot in the head, and the guards save not him, but Yura, mistaking him for their boss. Now the guy will have to run an illegal business. Maxim Matveev plays both roles.
Gleb Kalyuzhny presented the film "Zhvanetsky"
Meanwhile, the October cinema hosted another big premiere. There was a private screening of the film-concert "Zhvanetsky", dedicated to the work of the satirist. The creators set themselves the task of breathing new life into the works of Mikhail Mikhailovich, entrusting it to talented artists. On the screen are Zhvanetsky's monologues performed by film and theater stars, their revelations about the writer and footage shot in his house. One of the heroes of the project was Gleb Kalyuzhny, who appeared on the red carpet of the premiere to personally present the film. This is a rare appearance by the actor after a case of military service evasion was filed against him in March. Now there is information that he will join the army on May 27.
The secular premiere of "There" with Irina Starshenbaum and Peter Fedorov
The next day, Tuesday, May 13, Cinema Park Mosfilm took over the baton. The long-awaited premiere of the romantic road movie with Peter Fedorov and Irina Starshenbaum "There" took place there. The fact is that this is not the first screening of the film, before that it participated in the Russian Premieres competition at the 47th Moscow International Film Festival, and finally reached the box office. What happens if you lock a gloomy introvert driver and an actress full of optimism and eager for communication and adventure in one car, who decided to travel by ordinary taxi from Moscow to Ufa, the star guests of the closed screening were the first to find out, among whom, in addition to the main actors, were actresses Alexandra Revenko, Alyona Dolgolenko, singer Vlad Sobolev (Nemiga) and others.
"One hundred years ahead", "GDR" and other winners of the XII APKiT Prize
The brightest point of attraction for actors, directors and everyone involved in last week's calendar was the XII Award of the Association of Film and Television Producers, which brought together the entire industry and even unexpected guests. Even before the ceremony began, the news spread through the media, immediately confirmed by numerous shots, that Alexander Tsekalo and his wife Darina Erwin had arrived from the United States at the event. He did not arrive in vain: the TV series "Highway", one of the producers of which was Tsekalo, received prizes in the nominations "Best Online series", "Best screenwriting", "Best Cinematography").
And among the feature-length feature films, the film "One Hundred years ahead" won. Alexander Petrov, who played the Merry Man, and producers Mikhail Vrubel and Alexander Andryushchenko were cheering from the audience. The prize for "The Best work of a production Designer" was awarded to Sergey Ivanov for "GDR". In addition, the National Media Group was awarded a special prize "For its contribution to the development of socially significant content."
The stars of the Cannes Film Festival
These days, the cinema festival has started on the Cote d'Azur. From May 13 to 24, the Cannes Film Festival is taking place there, where the main personalities and admirers of this art, including Russian stars, as well as Izvestia correspondents, who visited the red carpet of the opening, went. The surprise for those who were to attend it was the unexpected decision of the organizers, just a day before the ceremony, to ban "naked" dresses, which were preferred in previous years by supermodels, outfits with lush long trains that interfere with the movement of other guests, and sneakers.
The public managed to avoid unnecessary nudity. Not everyone coped with the second condition. Model Heidi Klum may not have read about the new dress code or failed to find an alternative look in such a short time. Her colleagues on the shop floor are another matter. Irina Shayk wore an elegant outfit with a full skirt and open shoulders, Bella Hadid — an elegant dress with a thigh-high slit.
Our compatriots also became guests of the 78th Cannes Film Festival. Among them are the founders of the YANINA Couture Fashion House Yulia and Daria Yanina, TV presenter Ekaterina Mtsituridze, as well as actress Alexandra Kiselyova, who made her debut on the runway.
The main characters of the evening were the stars of world cinema. Among those who appeared on the carpet were the chairman of the jury of the festival, French actress Juliette Binoche, "The Heirs" star Jeremy Strong, last year's winner Sean Baker, who took the Palme d'Or for "Anora," and many others. Robert De Niro shone the brightest, to whom the loudest ovations were dedicated. Leonardo DiCaprio presented the actor with the honorary Palme d'Or.
The first week presented the audience with several high-profile premieres, which were supported by their main stars: "Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning" with Tom Cruise and "Eddington" by Ari Astaire with Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Luke Grimes, Austin Butler and Emma Stone. The latter was attacked by a bee right on the red carpet, but her co-stars bravely defended the actress and chased away the intrusive insect.
