Used electric vehicles in Russia have fallen in price by 13% in a year

In April 2025, the average price of used electric vehicles decreased by 13% compared to April 2024, amounting to about 4.1 million rubles. Experts from Avto told Izvestia about this on May 19.ru Business".

Among used electric cars, Japanese brand models lead the market with a share of 26.5%, followed by American (24.5%), Chinese (24%) and European (21.2%). The leaders in the number of registrations in April included the Nissan Leaf (975.6 thousand rubles), Zeekr 001 (5.49 million rubles) and Tesla Model 3 (3.44 million rubles).

Used electric cars account for only 0.5% of the total number of cars on the market. This indicator has not changed over the past two years, but there is a small but steady increase, analysts said.

In addition, according to their data, the average price of a new electric car in April 2023 was 4.8 million rubles, and by April 2025 it reached 8.7 million rubles. The top three models in terms of the number of registrations in mid-spring included the Zeekr 001 (an average of 6.97 million rubles), Avatr 11 (7.6 million rubles) and Evolve i-Pro (2.54 million rubles).

Since the beginning of 2024, the share of electric vehicles among new offerings has been declining. There was a slight increase in 2025, but the electric car segment still remains narrow, accounting for only 1.2% of all new car announcements. In the new electric vehicle market, Chinese brands account for 85.8% of all offerings on the platform. This is followed by European, Russian and American models.

On April 29, the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant announced the launch of production of a new line of compact electric vehicles under the Eonyx brand. It will include two models. A presentation will be held in the second quarter of this year, at which the recommended prices for both cars will be announced.
