In Egypt, a four-year-old Russian child fell to his death from a six-meter height into a swimming pool. Elena, the child's mother, shared the details of what happened on May 16 in an interview with Izvestia.

It is noted that on May 6, while on vacation in Egypt, while in a hotel, a child climbed into an infinity fountain, in which the edges are not visible, and when trying to get out, he fell off the wall.

"We just arrived there for a vacation and immediately stayed in the hotel for no more than ten minutes," the woman explained.

According to her, the tragedy happened in an instant. The boy's dad was standing a few meters away from him, but did not have time to help.

"The eldest child ran to him (to his father. — Ed.), and the younger one wanted to follow him, but he just didn't get his bearings and went down the other side, straight into the abyss. He went down to his waist first. And then, apparently, he groped for the path with his feet, but it was not there, he fell down. We were taken to the hospital, and after three hours he was gone," she shared.

The woman explained that the fountain was located next to the hotel reception. However, there were no signs or signs near it that would warn of danger, and there were no guards at the site. In addition, the hotel administration has not installed any nets, railings or canopies at the fountain.

"Any sane person, being there, will understand how dangerous it is there. They (the hotel administration. — Ed.) have already begun to eliminate as soon as possible, feeling their responsibility. They've put up a railing there for the moment. <...> A huge number of small children come there, it's dangerous even for an ordinary adult," Elena said.

The couple was refunded the full cost of the tour, and the insurance company helped to transport the child's body to his homeland. Elena and her husband also wrote a statement to the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

"And if violations of this design are indeed found on the territory of the hotel, [we want] the perpetrators to be punished, because it turns out that eliminating the hotel's mistakes was the cost of our four—year-old son's life," the woman said.

Earlier, on May 12, a one-and-a-half-year-old child died in Makhachkala as a result of a fall from a fifth-floor window. It was clarified that the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan had organized an investigation into the incident.
