The Russian Ministry of Defense on Friday, May 16, released footage of the liberation of the village of Mikhaylovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) by the military group of troops "Center".

The military acted according to proven tactics, advancing in small assault groups. The fighters consistently cleared the houses, carefully checking every basement of the destroyed buildings. After the liberation of the neighboring village of Mirolyubovka, the main forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hastily retreated, and the stormtroopers could only suppress the resistance of small enemy groups.

It is noteworthy that during the liberation of the settlement, the assault units practically did not use artillery and attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), having achieved success mainly through small arms combat.

Earlier, on May 15, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Armed Forces had liberated the settlements of Torskoye and Novoaleksandrovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). According to the military department, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost three ammunition depots, 11 vehicles, about 240 military personnel, as well as two armored combat vehicles.
