Unknown assailants beat up a doctor who helped the victims of an accident in Tatarstan

A medical worker who stopped to help victims of a car accident was attacked in Tatarstan. A criminal case has been opened into the incident, the Investigative Committee of Russia reported on May 15.

Information about the incident appeared in the local press.

"The media reported that in the Baltasinsky district of Tatarstan, unknown assailants beat up a doctor who stopped to help the victims of an accident. One of the attackers threatened the medic with a pistol," the department's Telegram channel says.

The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan initiated a criminal case under Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism"). The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to report to him personally on the progress of the investigation.

Earlier, at the end of January, three men attacked an ambulance paramedic in the Moscow region. According to the main directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region, doctors responded to a call in the Andreevka work settlement of Solnechnogorsk city district to provide assistance to a local resident. Three men were in the house and attacked the paramedic as a result of the conflict. The next day, two local residents were detained, and a criminal case was opened against them for hooliganism committed by a group of individuals.
