- The media reported on Iran's readiness to supply uranium to other countries if sanctions are lifted.

Iran is ready to send its uranium abroad, provided that the United States lifts sanctions. This was reported on May 15 by the Reuters news agency, citing an unnamed senior Iranian official.
It is indicated that Tehran will send uranium to other countries if US sanctions are lifted in a "verifiable and effective manner." At the same time, the source told Reuters that Iran has not yet received proposals from the American side to resolve the differences.
In addition, Ali Shamkhani, the chief political adviser to Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, told NBC that if US sanctions are lifted, the Islamic Republic is ready to commit to no longer producing nuclear weapons and getting rid of uranium reserves that can be used as material for it.,
Shamkhani also stressed that Iran may agree to the monitoring of the uranium enrichment process by international inspectors, which will be used for peaceful purposes.
Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump said that Washington was close to concluding an agreement with Tehran on nuclear weapons. As noted by the Reuters news agency, there are still gaps in the negotiations between the countries that need to be addressed.
On May 11, Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian announced that the country's complete abandonment of its nuclear program was impossible. He also spoke about plans to further develop Iran's peaceful nuclear industry and seek common ground in negotiations with the American side.
