The Forthing S7 rear-wheel drive electric car may go on sale in Russia in the summer of 2025. This was reported on May 15 by the Avtopotok Telegram channel with reference to the head of the Forthing Fan Club, Ivan Gromov.

The model is currently undergoing certification tests to obtain Vehicle Type Approval (OTT). The issuance of permits is expected on June 30, and sales of the new product in the Russian Federation are expected to begin shortly thereafter. It is noted that a demo copy of the S7 is already available at an official Forhing dealer in Novosibirsk.

The Forhing company, which is part of the Dongfeng concern, positions the S7 model as a luxury sedan. The length of the electric car is 4935 mm with a wheelbase of 2915 mm. The sedan is equipped with a 218-horsepower or 272-horsepower electric motor, acceleration to "hundreds" takes 6.7 and 5.9 seconds, respectively. The maximum speed is 165 km/h. With a 56.8 kWh battery, the range on a single charge is 555 km, and with a 70.26 kWh battery, 650 km.

Currently, the Forhing model range in Russia includes T5 and T5 Evo crossovers, Yacht and M7 minivans.

Yesterday, Chery shared new details about the first model of the new Lepas sub-brand. The L8 model will be presented with three types of power plants — pure gasoline, plug-in hybrid and fully electric.
