Russia has fully fulfilled its obligations regarding negotiations with the Ukrainian side in Istanbul. This was announced on May 15 at a briefing by the Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry on crimes of the Kiev regime Rodion Miroshnik.

According to him, it is too early to draw conclusions about future negotiations with Ukraine.

"The main thing is that today Russia has fully fulfilled its obligations before the start of negotiations. She initiated these negotiations, prepared a negotiating platform, coordinated it with the head of the Republic of Turkey," Miroshnik said, quoted by TASS.

He added that the various organizational details of the meeting will be determined directly in the negotiation process.

On May 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated direct negotiations, inviting the Ukrainian side to resume dialogue on May 15 in Istanbul.

Later, the Russian leader approved the composition of experts for negotiations with Ukraine. The delegation was headed by Vladimir Medinsky, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation. In addition, the head of state held a meeting on the preparation of the upcoming negotiations.

Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted on May 15 that the Russian delegation is currently in Istanbul and is waiting for representatives of Ukraine to begin negotiations.
