In the Chuvash Republic, nine gymnasium students sought medical help with symptoms of intestinal infection. This was announced on May 14 by the regional Ministry of Health.

"Nine schoolchildren from gymnasium No. 8 in the city of Sumerl sought medical help with symptoms of acute intestinal infection. One child was hospitalized in the infectious diseases department of the Republican Children's Hospital," the department's Telegram channel says.

It is specified that eight schoolchildren are being treated on an outpatient basis under the supervision of district pediatricians. Upon the incident, the head of the republic, Oleg Nikolaev, ordered an inspection.
