Assault units of the combined arms army of the Vostok group of forces continue to dislodge the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from their strongholds in the south Donetsk area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on Wednesday, May 14, by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is specified that Russian fighters are advancing into the depths of the defense of the Ukrainian militants, hitting units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the Donetsk village of Bogatyr.

As noted in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, during the performance of combat missions, the military personnel of the group demonstrate professional tactical training, using non-standard approaches to capture fortified areas of Ukrainian formations.

Mobile motorcycle groups that operate effectively on the line of contact, including using speed and maneuverability, are important.

"We moved carefully because the enemy kamikaze drones are working. They are working, but our electronic warfare (electronic warfare) and anti-electronic devices are helping. <...> Closer to the enemy's fortified area, they began to move in twos at a distance. One deuce took over the fire — they distracted the machine gunners, the second deuce went around to the right at that time, entered the enemy's fortification and neutralized it," said the deputy platoon commander with the call sign Malaya.

Earlier, on May 13, the Russian Ministry of Defense published footage of the liberation of the village of Mirolyubovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) by the military of the Center group of forces. According to the ministry, the Ukrainian forces lost more than 470 military personnel, seven armored combat vehicles, including two HMMWV armored vehicles.
