European companies still want to trade in Russia, despite the sanctions imposed against the country. This was announced to journalists on May 13 by the head of the European Union (EU) diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, during a meeting in Copenhagen.

"Obviously, there are European companies that still want to make money in Russia," Callas told reporters in Copenhagen. Her speech was broadcast on the website of the European Commission.

At the same time, Kallas believes that the Europeans have not done enough "to put pressure on Russia," in this regard, she called not only to talk with states that facilitate trade with the Russian side, but also to pay attention to European companies that intend to operate in the Russian Federation bypassing restrictions.

On March 28, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), said that foreign companies were lining up to return to Russia to resume trading activities on its territory. He clarified that in the case of a full-fledged return, new prospects for capital growth will open up for foreign companies.
