The average price of popular cars in Russia was 2.5 million rubles.

The weighted average price of a new passenger car in Russia in January – April 2025 was 3.11 million rubles, and the average price of models in the top 15 market leaders was 2.46 million rubles. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, said this during a press conference at the MIMS 2025 exhibition in Moscow on May 13, the Izvestia correspondent reports

According to Tselikov, in January – April, the 15 best-selling models accounted for 57% of the Russian car market. At the same time, taking into account alternative imports, about 800 different models of passenger cars were registered in the first four months.

The top ten models in the sales ranking included five VAZ models — Lada Granta, Vesta, Niva Travel and Niva Legend, as well as Largus. The weighted average prices of all Lada models are below 2 million rubles. All popular foreign cars exceed this price range at an average price.

Lada Granta and Vesta, as well as Haval Jolion, the most popular foreign car in the country, are among the leaders of the best-selling passenger cars in Russia in the first four months. Next are the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, Lada Niva Travel and Niva Legend, Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, Geely Monjaro, Haval M6, Lada Largus and Changan Uni-S/CS 55 Plus. Omoda C5, Haval F7, Belgee X50 and Haval H3 rounded out the top 15.

Also on this day, Sergey Tselikov said that sales of new passenger cars by the end of 2025 could decrease by 20% compared to the previous year and reach 1.25 million cars.
