Russians talked about their dream country house


Among the Russians surveyed, one in two would like to buy a country house: 45% would prefer to purchase ready-made housing, and 43% are considering the option of an unfinished house, depending on its condition and price. This is stated in the results of a study by the insurance company Rosgosstrakh and CIAN, which were reviewed by Izvestia on May 14.
Another 10% of respondents would choose the unfinished option if possible to finish the object according to their project. The most popular option for suburban housing is a two—storey one, which was preferred by 57% of those who answered the questions. 29% are interested in single—storey buildings, and a third would choose a brick house, about the same number (31%) would choose a wooden one.
At the same time, 28% are interested in housing with an area of 50-100 square meters, one in five chooses a house with a square footage of 100-150 square meters, and one in ten chooses 400 square meters. The majority of respondents (77%) plan to erect additional buildings to the country house and on the site, which requires considerable space. In addition, 39% plan to install greenhouses on the plots; 24% — baths, and 9% — garages. The preferred land area in 29% of cases is 4-6 acres, and in every fifth case — 7-9 acres.
When choosing an area, well—developed infrastructure becomes an important factor: the proximity of shops and shopping centers is important for 65% of respondents, the presence of forests nearby is important for 50%, and access to public transport is important for 47%. In addition, one in three pays attention to the distance from medical institutions. The safety of the area (43%), the distance from the city (33%) and the environmental situation (24%) are also important.
In addition, 45% of respondents are ready to spend more than 5 million rubles on a country house. A quarter of the respondents are considering options worth 1-3 million rubles. Another 14% focus on the price range of 3-5 million rubles, and 13% — up to 1 million rubles. At the same time, 59% of respondents intend to permanently reside in a country house, and 29% of respondents intend to use it for gardening.
According to the study, 45% of respondents intend to install video surveillance, 38% — an alarm system to ensure security, and a quarter of Russians plan to conduct annual communications checks. At the same time, every second person relies on an insurance policy in addition to technical means to minimize damage.
"According to Rosgosstrakh's long-term statistics, the most common risks in the private sector are associated with natural disasters such as hurricanes and floods. But the most expensive ones are fires. Theft is also a fairly common insurance event," said Ekaterina Zenchenko, Director of Development and Underwriting of Rosgosstrakh Property Insurance.
Earlier, on April 24, it was reported that the average price of 1 sq.m. m in the primary housing market of old Moscow has reached 685.3 thousand rubles.
