Investigators in Serpukhov have opened a criminal case after a hooligan attacked a volunteer at the office of the volunteer movement in Protvino, Moscow region. This was reported on May 13 by the GSU of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Moscow region.

It is noted that the incident occurred on May 11. It became known about him from information in the media.

"A man, being intoxicated, entered the headquarters of a volunteer public movement in the city of Protvino and unreasonably attacked an employee, causing him bodily injuries," the department's Telegram channel says.

The criminal case was initiated under Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism"). The person involved faces a fine in the amount of 500 thousand to 1 million rubles. The victim's life is not in danger. The circumstances of the emergency are being established.

On May 12, a criminal case was opened into the attack on Alyona Chernysheva, a correspondent of the 78 TV channel. Later, a case was also initiated under Part 3 of Article 144 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Obstruction of the legitimate professional activities of journalists, combined with violence against a journalist"). An unknown man attacked Chernysheva during her work, when she was communicating with the neighbors of a teenager injured by a firecracker explosion.

The next day, it became known that she began receiving threats and insults on social media.
