Alyona Chernysheva, a correspondent for 78 TV channel, began receiving threats and insults on social media after the attack. This was announced on May 13 by the TV channel in the Telegram channel.

"Messages to Alena's personal account come from pages that are registered on Ukrainian SIM cards," the publication says.

It will be clarified that two criminal cases have been initiated into the attack.

On May 12, it became known that an unknown man attacked Chernysheva during her work, when she was communicating with neighbors of a teenager injured by a firecracker explosion. The girl was diagnosed with a concussion, a closed craniocerebral injury, bruises and a bruise of the lower jaw on the left.

On the same day, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, announced that the investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg had opened a criminal case into the attack. Later, a case was also initiated under Part 3 of Article 144 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Obstruction of the legitimate professional activities of journalists, combined with violence against a journalist").
