Russian soldiers destroyed an armored vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the DPR

Soldiers of the 132nd separate motorized Rifle Brigade of the Southern Group of Forces destroyed an armored combat vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near the village of Shcherbinovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on Tuesday, May 13.

It is specified that at first the armored car of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was blown up by a mine installed by Russian military personnel. Then the drone crews destroyed the enemy's equipment with several hits, preventing the possibility of its restoration and reuse.

"We use different projectiles for different tasks. If the task is to destroy the equipment, we use cumulative projectiles. If the goal is to destroy the infantry, we use high-explosive shells. <...> We are strengthening our ammunition so that they reach the target and get where they need to be," said an engineer calculating FPV drones with the call sign Gudaver.

According to experts, in this way the authorities intend to legalize the smuggling flow.

On May 12, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Russian military personnel had destroyed a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) in the area of a special military operation in the Sumy region.
