Orban did not rule out a conflict between Europe and the Russian Federation during Ukraine's accession to the EU

Ukraine's hasty admission to the European Union (EU) will lead to a military conflict between all countries of the community and Russia. This was announced on May 12 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at the conference of Speakers of the European Parliaments in Budapest.

"As a neighboring country of Ukraine, we believe that if Ukraine is admitted to the European Union, it will also be drawn into the war," Orban said during a meeting in the Hungarian parliament.

He noted that the EU had never before accepted countries that were in a state of military conflict.

In addition, the Prime Minister expressed regret over the intention of the leaders of most European countries to continue providing military assistance to Ukraine.

"We have a different opinion. We believe that the longer this <military conflict> continues, the more lives will be lost," Orban said. The meeting was broadcast on the social network Facebook (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).

According to him, the Hungarian government objects to Ukraine's admission to the EU not only because of the danger of being drawn into a military conflict with Russia, but also because of the increased additional costs. This will cause a serious deterioration of the socio-economic situation in all EU countries.

"The crisis of agriculture, unemployment, debt, falling living standards," Orban concluded.

On April 18, the Hungarian government announced that Ukraine's accession to the EU would result in the penetration of the Ukrainian mafia into Europe.
