Miroshnik pointed to the daily shelling of the territory of the Russian Federation by the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the May holidays

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the territory of Russia during the May holidays, the Belgorod and Kursk regions became epicenters. This was announced on May 12 by the Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik.

"Neither the holiday dates nor the four-day ceasefire regime announced by Russia have changed Kiev's approach to the shelling. According to the intensity of the shelling of civilian objects, separate epicenters appeared — these are the Belgorod and Kursk regions," he told TASS.

Miroshnik noted that during the shelling, the militants of the Kiev regime used almost the entire arsenal of weapons — from mortars to long-range missiles.

"The daily statistics counted hundreds of arrivals. But the enemy was most actively using deliberate targeted strikes against the civilian population with kamikaze drones," Miroshnik stressed.

He added that reports of attacks on civilian transport in the Russian Federation by the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the holidays came almost hourly. Miroshnik said that ambulances, civilian vehicles and residential buildings were hit by militants.

The Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry for crimes of the Kiev regime said that civilians were killed and dozens of people were injured due to the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the holidays. He stressed that the militants of the Kiev regime did not observe the ceasefire even with regard to the civilian population.

"A criminal grin can hardly be hidden behind a mask of ostentatious peacefulness," Miroshnik noted.

On May 11, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had violated the ceasefire 14,043 times during the truce. According to the ministry, the Ukrainian army has made five attempts to break through the state border of the Russian Federation in the Kursk and Belgorod regions. The ministry noted that the Russian military mirrored the enemy's violations of the ceasefire.

On the same day, the governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had fired 102 rounds of ammunition into the region in a day. Ukrainian troops shelled six districts.
