India has announced an attack by Pakistan on civilian targets


On the night of May 10, Pakistan launched multiple UAVs at residential areas of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and endangered civilians and religious sites. This was stated in the Department of Public Relations of the Ministry of Defense of India.
"On May 10, 2025, Pakistan continued its military operations, targeting places of worship such as the famous Shambhu Temple and residential areas in Jammu," the statement said.
It is also noted that Pakistan has attacked medical and educational institutions in Kashmir.
"The Indian army said after the attacks that Pakistan was continuing its 'blatant escalation' with drone strikes and the use of other munitions along India's western border, and that its 'enemy projects' would be thwarted,— the Reuters news agency said.
In addition, as a result of attacks carried out by Pakistan in the Jammah region, five people were killed on the border between the two countries.
On May 10, Pakistan launched a large-scale military operation Banyan un Marsus ("Solid Wall") against India. As part of the operation, it is planned to strike several Indian strategic targets. Later, Pakistan announced that the Indian Adampur airbase had been destroyed.
On May 9, Reuters reported that explosions were heard in Kashmir and the Indian city of Amritsar in Punjab state. Later, the Pakistani government stated that the Indian armed forces had carried out several missile strikes on Pakistan's air bases, including Nur Khan, Murid and Shorkot (Rafiki).
Relations between Pakistan and India have been strained since the terrorist attack on April 22 near the Indian city of Pahalgam in the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir. As a result of the incident, 27 civilians were killed. On May 7, the Indian Ministry of Defense announced the start of the Sindoor military operation against Pakistan. According to the Pakistani Samaa TV channel, Islamabad launched retaliatory missile strikes on Indian territory.
